How Does the Lisboa Card Work?
With this pass, you will enjoy, among other benefits, unlimited free access to the city's public transport network and to 26 museums and monuments in Lisbon.
You will also have access to discounts of up to 50% on various bus tours within Lisbon and the surrounding area.
You can save a great deal of time and money by hopping on public transport whenever you need it without worrying about your travel budget, and by visiting more places than you would if you had to pay for each one individually.
How Long Is It Valid?
It is valid for one year from the date of purchase, and once you use it for the first time, it will be valid for the period you selected: 24, 48, or 72 hours.
The Lisboa Card is activated in either of the following ways: upon entering an attraction (for example, a Lisbon museum), or when using public transport for the first time (simply tap the card on the readers at train stations, metro stations, ferry terminals, on buses, or on trams).
Once you have purchased your Lisboa Card you can pick it up at the airport or at the Lisbon Welcome Centre (Praça do Comércio).
Where do you pick it up?
After completing your purchase here. You will receive a voucher that you must exchange for the card upon your arrival in Lisbon. The locations where you can do this are the following:
- Lisbon Airport
- Tourist information desk Lisboa Welcome Center at the Praça do Comércio
- Palacio Foz at Praça dos Restauradores
- Santa Apolónia metro/train station
You must present your purchase voucher to collect the card.
Things to consider: If you are a student it may not be worth purchasing. Discounts are available for children aged 4 to 15.
