The Museum of the Orient in Lisbon offers temporary and permanent exhibitions on the East in all its cultural facets: history, religion, and art.

What to See at the Museum of the Orient
The permanent exhibition encompasses 1,400 pieces relating to the Portuguese presence in Asia over five centuries, including 650 pieces from the Kwok On collection.
Music, dance, theater, puppetry, and cinema are presented in the museum's auditorium, performed by artists and groups from diverse backgrounds and traditions, ranging from the traditional to the experimental, including fusion and contemporary sounds.

They also offer courses in different areas such as cooking, spirituality, and art, as well as an important documentation center.
The museum describes itself as "a living memory of Asian cultures and the centuries-old relationship established between East and West, primarily through Portugal."
