With animals from every continent, the Lisbon Zoo is one of the most visited attractions in the city. It is especially popular with those visiting Lisbon with kids.
It is a very well-rounded zoo that takes a good few hours to explore at a leisurely pace.

The facilities are spotless and the animal habitats are very well maintained. One of the best zoos in Europe.
Inside the park there are picnic areas if you want to bring your own food, as well as a dining area with several restaurants.
The Lisbon Zoo is part of the European Endangered Species Programme (EEP), which enables zoos to work together to maintain genetically healthy populations capable of breeding, with the ultimate goal of reintroducing them into the wild.
You can also visit the stunning Lisbon Oceanarium.
