Saldanha
A Lisbon where the modern and the traditional come together in harmony.
Saldanha
Saldanha, pronounced Saldaña, is a Lisbon neighborhood belonging to the parish of Arroios.
It is an area slightly off Lisbon's traditional tourist circuit, featuring financial towers, beautiful houses and mansions, and wide sidewalks lined with shops and restaurants.

Saldanha begins where Avenida da Liberdade ends, halfway along Parque Eduardo VII, right next to the Marquês de Pombal roundabout.
In this area, which also encompasses the São Sebastião and Picoas metro stations, you'll find many hotels offering excellent value for money. Its great connections by metro and bus to the historic center make it a highly recommended place to stay.
Saldanha is comfortable, clean, quiet, and very well connected.
On Av. Duque de Ávila there is a bike lane that is very popular with residents. This also hints that, unlike neighborhoods like Alfama or Chiado, Saldanha is flat.
