Morning
Wake up and take your time — there's no rush in Lisbon. If you come from a busy capital or city, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that even in the country's main city, people move at a relaxed pace. Head to Kaffehaus Café (in Chiado) and treat yourselves to a delicious brunch for two. It's not the most Portuguese option, but don't worry — the day is just getting started.
Next, find the Tram 28 stop located in Chiado (near the metro exit) and take advantage of the fact that most people are already at work, so it will be less crowded at this hour. Hop on and enjoy the ride with views of the river between the buildings and the monuments that appear along the way, such as the Sé Cathedral.
Get off at the "Largo da Graça" stop and walk to the Graça Viewpoint and marvel at the views of central Lisbon, the Tagus, the 25 de Abril Bridge and Christ the King. There's a kiosk where you can sit down for a drink.
From there you can walk down to the neighborhood of Alfama, one of Lisbon's oldest neighborhoods, which still preserves the look and customs of decades past. Wander its labyrinthine cobblestone streets and pick up a souvenir at one of its traditional shops.
Midday

Afternoon
Continue down through the old part of the city and stop by the Portas do Sol Viewpoint and the Santa Luzia Viewpoint, located right next to each other, they are two of Lisbon's most famous viewpoints . You can head up to São Jorge Castle and then continue on foot or use the new elevator to reach the area of the Baixa.
Once in the Lisbon Baixa walk over to the Praça do Comércio, one of the city's main squares, where you'll find cafés and restaurants with outdoor terraces perfect for sitting back and enjoying the rest of the afternoon.
Next to the Praça do Comércio there is a riverside promenade ideal for sitting down and admiring the view at sunset.
Evening
After resting for a while at your hotel or apartment you can get ready for a romantic dinner at a special restaurant such as Café Buenos Aires, the Casa de Linhares / Bacalhau De Molho, or even better: a fado dinner at the Restaurante Sr. Fado, which you will of course have booked in advance given how popular this date is.
The following day you can take a guided tour or head out on a day trip around Lisbon. The most romantic destination would undoubtedly be Sintra; book ahead for a trip to Sintra and Cascais.
