MUDE: Museum of Design and Fashion
THIS MUSEUM IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS
The MUDE Museum of Design and Fashion, open since 1999, is one of the most museums in Lisbon well-known.
It balances the concept of design in its various expressions throughout the 20th century, as well as its evolution in historical context, new trends, and the future directions of 21st-century design.

MUDE Lisbon
MUDE aims to be a space for debate between experimental creation and industrial production, a discussion on the relationship between design, art, and craft, and a reflection on today's urban, socioeconomic, environmental, and technological challenges.
Admission to the museum is free, and the visit is light and doesn't take long, so we highly recommend stopping by when you're exploring the area.
It is located in the heart of Lisbon, in the Baixa (between Alfama and Chiado), just a few meters from Praça do Comércio.

Some of the biggest names in design, such as Philippe Starck and Arne Jacobsen, are represented in the museum, alongside clothing pieces by YSL and Jean Paul Gaultier.
