The Berardo Collection Museum in Lisbon is the country's leading museum of modern and contemporary art.
The permanent exhibition features artists of the caliber of Duchamp, Warhol, Picasso, Dali, Magritte, Pollock, and Portuguese artist Paula Rego.

The museum covers more than 70 artistic movements from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Joe Berardo's private collection was nearly purchased by Paris y Miami. Fortunately, the Portuguese State managed to keep it in the country.

The museum is located within the premises of the Belém Cultural Centre (CCB), in the neighborhood of Belém, so while you're in the area, be sure to grab a Pastel de Belém, visit the Belém Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries just across the avenue.
