Parreirinha de Alfama
Fado and tradition in a venue steeped in history.
Parreirinha de Alfama
Parreirinha de Alfama is one of Lisbon's most traditional restaurants and fado houses.
As its name suggests, it is located in the neighborhood of Alfama.

This is a place with a rich history, serving traditional food and authentic fado. Immortal voices have graced its stage, including that of the most famous fadista in Portugal, Amália Rodrigues.
The classic (and delicious) Portuguese cuisine is served here, starting with fresh bread, olives, cheeses, and olive oil. Salt cod fritters, garlic shrimp, and peppers with port wine or the famous «caldo verde» soup are served as starters.
Main courses include fish and seafood broth, grilled sea bass, salt cod, octopus, partridge stewed with figs, various cuts of meat, and oven-roasted kid goat.
Open for dinner only, with live fado. An experience we highly recommend in Lisbon.
They do not accept card payments, so be sure to bring cash.
