The Arco da Rua Augusta is located between the pedestrian street in the city center known as Rua Augusta and the Praça do Comércio or Commerce Square, both must-see destinations for anyone visiting and exploring the center of Lisbon.
Views
From the viewpoint you can admire from a different angle landmarks such as São Jorge Castle, the Lisbon Cathedral (Sé), the Baixa (city center), and the Praça do Comércio.
Exhibition
In a special room next to the viewpoint, you can also visit an exhibition on the history of the Arco da Rua Augusta, built following the devastating earthquake that struck Lisbon in 1755.
