Casa de Linhares
Portuguese Food and Live Fado
Casa de Linhares
Casa de Linhares is a traditional Portuguese restaurant with a great live Fado show.

The restaurant is housed in a building reconstructed from what remained after the 1755 earthquake. It still features Renaissance remnants, vaulted ceilings, and stone columns alongside a grand fireplace.
This location was strategically important to the city in terms of military defense, as tunnels connected the site, leading to the Tagus River and crossing through Alfama and the São Jorge Castle.
Fado dinners in Lisbon
The fado show at this venue features some of the finest voices in the genre in Lisbon. If for any reason you are unable to book a table here, we can also recommend reserving a full dinner with a live fado show at one of the other well-known restaurants in Alfama.
Special reserve wines
Casa de Linhares also has a wine cellar where reserve vintages dating back to the 1980s are aged. The location's consistently stable temperature and humidity allow exceptional harvests to be preserved to accompany their dishes.
