Last call for travelers who want to enjoy the summer in the Portuguese capital and take a dip at one of the hotels with a pool in Lisbon. For this selection, the criteria were that prices remain reasonable and that the location not be too far from the center of Lisbon.
There aren't many hotels with a pool in Lisbon, but they can be found and for many they tend to be perfect spots to start or end the day, especially given the heat that prevails in Lisbon during the summer. Walking through the city and its steep hills is hard work that deserves a well-earned rest, even if it's in a small pool.
These hotels are also ideal for those visiting Lisbon with kids who want to give them a bit of fun between the obligatory sightseeing. That way, you can explore a beautiful city, get your photo in front of all the city's landmarks, and as a bonus: a family photo by the pool.
1. Hotel Tivoli Lisboa – view hotel
The hotel features a spectacular round outdoor pool. With four room types (Standard, Deluxe, Junior Suite, and Tivoli), this hotel has prices starting at around €100 per night. Conveniently located on Av. da Liberdade — home to the city's luxury boutiques such as Prada and Dolce & Gabbana, among others — it is just steps from central Lisbon (approximately 10 minutes on foot, or 5 minutes by metro, taxi, or car). This five-star hotel moves effortlessly between luxury, modernity, and classic elegance, having opened in 1933 and been fully renovated in 2008. It features a restaurant with spectacular views and a large terrace. An unmissable hotel for those who can afford it. The dip in the pool is on the house.
2.Vip Grand Lisboa Hotel & Spa – view hotel
Another 5-star hotel with a sun-drenched pool that, were it not for the surrounding building views, could easily be mistaken for a luxury Caribbean resort. While the Spa and Turkish bath come at an extra cost on top of the room rate, the pool area has a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Prices starting at around €80 are very well justified. The hotel is located just a few minutes from Lisbon Airport and is also practically equidistant from central Lisbon. Well connected by metro and transport links, with nearby: restaurants, shops, and more.
3.Holiday Inn Lisbon – view hotel
The Holiday Inn Lisbon features a small pool, perfect for relaxing before or after a long day of exploring Lisbon. Just 2 kilometers from the Lisbon Zoo, close to the gardens of the Gulbenkian, and well connected for visiting the Lisbon Expo area (only 6 km away, about 20 minutes by metro), this is a great choice for a visit with children. Connections to Sintra are also easy from here, thanks to its proximity to Lisbon's transport links. Stays are around €80 per night.
4.Sana Classic Reno Hotel – view hotel
Like the previous hotel, this one also has a small pool. A short distance from Marquês de Pombal Squareand Eduardo VII Park, this hotel offers rooms starting at around €54. Few guests of the Sana Reno fail to mention the breakfasts — it seems they use excellent quality ingredients. In addition to the pool, it also has a jacuzzi and sauna.
5.Amazónia Lisboa Hotel – view hotel
Admittedly, the pool at this hotel is on the small side, but it is quite intimate and perfect for cooling off on hot Lisbon summer days. The hotel has an "Amazon" theme, which is reflected throughout most of the walls and décor. Prices are around €55.
